The Knox County Board Of Education will conduct a monthly meeting Wednesday, July 5, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Main Assembly Room located in the City County Building.

F. Grant approval for Carter High School to purchase 15 microscopes for $4,583.40 plus shipping and handling with funds from Knox County Schools science department

G. Grant approval for Carter High School to purchase and install 300 lockers for $22,915.00 with student activities funds

H. Grant approval for Cedar Bluff Middle School for a sidewalk project, which involves pouring a sidewalk on the south side of the building according to ADA specifications for $1020.00 with funds provided by Cedar Bluff Middle School

I. Grant approval for Christenberry Elementary School to purchase playground Geotextile weed fabric for $2,730.64 with funds from donations.

J. Grant approval for Farragut Middle School to purchase Edline subscription for 2006-07 school year for $2,580.00 with funds from Town of Farragut

K. Grant approval for Fulton High School to purchase and install security cameras for $34,276.09 with funds from grant and school’s general fund

L. Grant approval for Halls High School to purchase 30 computers for $28,650.00 with funds from school’s general fund

M. Grant approval for Hardin Valley Elementary School to purchase Text Talk – Levels B and C and Powerful vocabulary – grades 3, 4, and 5 for $6,028.97 with funds from coupon book sales

N. Approve Knox County Board of Education 2006-2007 Annual Calendar

O. Approve changing the fall break for school year 2007-2008 from October 15-19 to October 22-26, 2007

5. Discussion and possible action regarding the FY 2006 – 2007 General Purpose School Budget

6. Approve contract with Bobcat of Knoxville for a T190 Bobcat

7. Approve contract with Gallaher and Associates for an Intercom and Services

8. Approve contract with Mathew’s Contract Painting for painting services
